Two passions of mine include poker and supporting the efforts of amazing charities! “Running Good” is a common term used when the cards are going in your favor during poker. Therefore, I thought there was a perfect tie in to doing an actual run event that was for something good. I forgot that I spend a majority of my time sitting at a table and am terribly out of shape, but I’m comitted to training for this run because I love Ronald McDonald House Charities’ mission. I volunteer at INOVA Fairfax in their pediatric unit and I have seen the direct impact that the RMHC of Greater Warshington DC has on the families. My goal for this 5K is to raise $5k. I will be using my winnings from poker towards reaching this target, but any contribution you want to make would be greatly appreciated!
